Watch PM's top officer's call with Uttarkashi trapped workers: 'Hang in there'

Principal Secretary to Prime Minister PK Mishra, Union Home Secretary Ajay Kumar Bhalla and several key officials of the government on Monday arrived at the Silkyara tunnel in Uttarakhand. Uttarakhand Chief Secretary SS Sandhu is also present at the site. The visit is aimed at assessing the progress of the ongoing rescue efforts for 41 workers who have been stranded in the Silkyara tunnel for the past 15 days. The NHIDCL (National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited) is actively preparing for horizontal drilling as part of the rescue operation to free the trapped workers.
