Vehicle used by Amritpal Singh to escape seized by Jalandhar police

A vehicle used by 'Waris Punjab De' chief Amritpal Singh to escape was seized by police in Jalandhar, says Punjab Police. Khalistani leader Amritpal Singh has been declared a fugitive by the Punjab Police after launching a state-wide crackdown on elements of Waris Punjab De on Saturday. Singh is on the run as the state police has launched a massive manhunt to nab him. Amritpal's ancestral village, Jallu Kheda, has been turned into a fortress and section 144 has been imposed in various districts to avoid protests and violence. A high alert has been sounded in Punjab and the neighbouring Himachal, which shares borders with Punjab.
