Days after the attack on Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi's official residence in Chennai, cops released on Friday the CCTV footage showing the man preparing the petrol bombs. In the video, the accused, Karuka Vinoth, can be seen preparing two petrol bombs before he is spotted by the police and pinned down.
According to the police, Vinoth had stolen petrol from the motorcycles that were parked on the premises of Saidapet Court, after which he walked towards Raj Bhavan and poured the petrol into two bottles, set them on fire and threw it at the main gate of Raj Bhavan.
However, he was arrested by the police team deployed at the main gate before he could hurl two more bottles of petrol.
