The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today condemned Jammu and Kashmir's Kathua gangrape and murder case, which has prompted nationwide anger and outrage.
"The Government has slammed both Kathua and Unnao cases and fair investigation should be done. We will act against the culprit regardless of who it is. The Yogi government is continuously monitoring the Unnao case," said the BJP leader, Meenakshi Lekhi.
Addressing a press conference in New Delhi, Meenakshi Lekhi said that the BJP has been speaking out against the Kathua and Unnao rape cases - both incidents that have hogged the national limelight in the last few days.
Lekhi also questioned why the recent rape and murder case in Assam was not covered enough like the Kathua and Unnao rape cases.
