MOTN poll: 54% respondents say 'love jihad' is a conspiracy to convert Hindu women to Islam

Recently, some of the BJP-ruled states - Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand - passed laws prohibiting religious conversion for the purpose of marriage. The law apparently centers around the contentious 'love jihad' issue, which has been pioneered mainly by the saffron party.
