Akshay Kumar and Tabu revisited their decades-long friendship while promoting their upcoming film Bhooth Bangla. They recalled their early days when Akshay would pick Tabu up on his bike for dance classes.
Speaking at the trailer launch, the actors opened up about their decades-long friendship, revealing that they have known each other for nearly 39 years.
Reflecting on their journey, Akshay said, "I would like to tell you all something about Tabu and me. I have known Tabu for 39 years. We used to go to dance academy together to learn dance," recalling how their association began when they were young.
Adding to the memory, Tabu shared, "He used to pick me up on a bike."
When asked if Akshay has changed over the years, Tabu noted that his habits remain largely the same. "He is the same; he still wakes up at 4 AM and will insist on jogging at 5 AM. He still says, 'Don't eat this or that.' That has not changed at all," she said, highlighting his disciplined lifestyle.
The two actors first appeared together in Tu Chor Main Sipahi (1996) and later collaborated on Hera Pheri (2000), directed by Priyadarshan.
With Bhooth Bangla, they reunite on screen after a gap of 26 years. Tabu also mentioned that despite working on multiple films with Priyadarshan, the filmmaker has remained unchanged over the years.
