Om Raut's Adipurush was released in theatres today, on June 16. Ahead of the grand release, the makers had organised a private screening for the cast and their families in Mumbai.

Kriti Sanon, who is playing the role of Sita in the period drama, was present with her family including mother Geeta Sanon, father Rahul and sister Nupur for the movie's screening.
The movie, which features pan-Indian superstar Prabhas as Lord Ram, Sunny Singh as Lakshman and Saif Ali Khan as Raavan, is helmed by the National award-winning filmmaker Om Raut. The director was too present for the screening.
Other than the gripping dialogues, the music of the film is equally captivating. Ajay Ashok Gogavale along with Atul Gogavale have given the music for the latest release.
Devdatta Nage, who is playing the role of mighty Lord Hanuman, was too present for the star-studded screening. The actor even thanked and greeted the media outside PVR Juhu.
Adipurush is the most expensive Indian film, which had been made on a budget of Rs 500 crore. The film saw multiple postponements and controversies over the course of two years.
Earlier, the director of the film, Om Raut, had urged producers and distributors to dedicate one seat in every theatre to Lord Hanuman for Adipurush. The viral videos and pictures from various theatres show people carrying idols of Lord Hanuman and offering flowers to the seats reserved.
