Jailer 2 BTS video leaked online, makers of Rajinikanth's film issue strict warning
A leaked BTS clip from Jailer 2, starring Rajinikanth, has surfaced online, prompting a strong response from production house Sun Pictures. Last week, Vijay Jaya Nayagan was released online in HD print.
Days after the online leak of H Vinoth's Vijay-starrer Jana Nayagan, a similar issue has arisen for Nelson Dilipkumar's highly anticipated Jailer 2. A video clip from the Rajinikanth film has surfaced online, prompting production house Sun Pictures to issue a stern warning, even to fans.
The BTS (behind the scenes) clip from Jailer 2, reportedly captured on set, quickly spread across social media platforms. Many, including fans, shared the clip before it was removed. A spokesperson for Sun Pictures addressed the situation, stating: "Dear All, We would like to bring to your attention that a video clip from the sets of Jailer 2 is currently being circulated on social media platforms."
Sun Pictures confirmed that the film’s anti-piracy team is actively working to remove the clips and take action against those responsible for sharing them. The spokesperson added, "Our anti-piracy team is actively monitoring the situation and will be taking necessary action to remove such content, including initiating measures against accounts involved in sharing or promoting these clips."
The production house also cautioned fans against distributing the clip, stating, "We kindly request members of the media and fans club to refrain from using, sharing, or reposting this video, in order to avoid any potential suspension or restrictions on their accounts. Please note that the production will not be held responsible for any such actions taken or to retrieve the accounts. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation."

Earlier, on April 9, an HD print of Vijay's unreleased film Jana Nayagan was leaked online and widely circulated on X (formerly Twitter), Instagram, and YouTube. The Chennai police have arrested nine individuals in connection with this case, including three recent arrests. According to a press release by the Cyber Crime department, the main accused is a freelance assistant editor for another film.
Jailer 2, directed by Nelson, is the sequel to his 2023 hit Jailer. Rajinikanth will reprise his role as Tiger Muthuvel Pandian, with Ramya Krishnan playing his wife Vijaya. The first film grossed over Rs 600 crore worldwide. Shiva Rajkumar and Mohanlal, who appeared in cameos in the first film, will return for the sequel, and Mithun Chakraborty will play a significant role.
