On the 5 Live show, Senior Executive Editor Shiv Aroor spoke about the four jawans who were killed and three injured in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri after terrorists ambushed two Army vehicles.
The targeted vehicles were transporting jawans from an area near Bufliaz, where an ongoing operation against terrorists had been in progress since Wednesday night. The operation was focused on the general area of DKG (Dera ki Gali), Thanamandi, Rajouri.
On the show, former Army chief General Ved Prakash Malik extended his condolences to the families of the jawans who were killed in the ambush that took place in the Jammu and Kashmir terrain on Friday.
Talking about nearly 33 soldiers being killed in the last 2 years and about 19 killed in 8 months, he called today's incident 'serious'.
Another ex-chief of Army staff General Deepak Kapoor, also shared his perspective on the latest Rajouri terror attack.
