Coalition games before the 2019 elections

With just few months left for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, political parties have started playing coalition games. The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and the Samajwadi Party (SP) have buried the hatchet that kept them apart for more than two decades. Both the parties, are said to be inching closer to stitching an alliance against the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Uttar Pradesh.

Meanwhile, last month, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee who are "vocal opponents" of PM Modi met each other in Kolkata with an aim to form a bigger forum of Opposition against the prime minister.
