Why is Pakistan escalating tension along LoC?

As tension escalates between India and Pakistan along the LoC, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has written a letter to the Pakistan High Commission in Delhi, stating that the government "deplores and condemns in the strongest terms... deliberate targeting of innocent civilians by Pakistan forces."

Meanwhile, the Army has been giving a befitting reply to Pakistan forces who have been targeting the civilians areas in Kashmir.
