Battleground Bengal: Manifesto wars peak as Amit Shah unveils BJP's Sankalp Patra

Union Home Minister Amit Shah released the BJP's 'Sankalp Patra' for the West Bengal elections, promising the Uniform Civil Code, the 7th Pay Commission, and a monthly cash transfer of Rs 3,000 for women. The manifesto also outlines policies to deport illegal immigrants and provide unemployment allowances. TMC's Abhishek Banerjee and MP Kirti Azad criticized the document, labeling it empty rhetoric. Simultaneously, the AIMIM ended its alliance with the Aam Janata Unnayan Party after a sting video allegedly showed leader Humayun Kabir discussing a financial deal with the BJP to divide minority votes. In other developments, actor Vijay's party, TVK, blamed the DMK and BJP for an online film leak, while Justice Yashwant Varma resigned from the Allahabad High Court following a cash discovery row at his residence. Additionally, Pakistan enforced a lockdown in Islamabad to secure high-level West Asia peace talks between the United States and Iran.
