DKS says no fund for development: Freebies draining Siddaramaiah govt coffers?

Days after eleven Congress MLAs wrote to Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah complaining that ministers were not responding to their requests regarding work in their constituencies, Deputy CM DK Shivakumar said that the state government did not have any money for fresh development projects as it had set aside funds to fulfill its five poll promises.
He added the Congress government in Karnataka had to keep aside Rs 40,000 crore this financial year for the five manifesto promises. Meanwhile, BJP has slammed Siddaramaiah govt for not fulfilling its 5 poll promises.
