The Delhi Police on Tuesday morning raided the homes of several journalists and employees linked to online portal NewsClick in connection with a case filed under the stringent Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), the country's anti-terror law.
Some journalists linked to NewsClick were brought to the Delhi Police Special Cell office and questioned regarding the Shaheen Bagh, farmer and north-eastern protests. They were also quizzed about their foreign travels.
Meanwhile, opposition parties have slammed the Centre over raids on journalists linked with NewsClick portal, alleging the "coercive" actions were directed only against those who speak truth to power.
