Russia hosts economic forum; first Russia-China highway inaugurated

The 25th year of St Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) is being hosted by Russia, which is seeing a diminished participation owing to the war with Ukraine. Known as the ‘Russian Davos’, in the past, St Petersburg saw top global financial honchos engage the world here. But this year, Moscow’s isolation by the West was quite evident.
