Shubhanshu Shukla back on Earth after historic space mission

Indian astronaut Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla is back on Earth following a successful splashdown of the SpaceX Dragon capsule. The mission, a collaboration with Axiom and NASA, was extended from its planned 14 days to 18, during which the crew conducted over 60 experiments. The return was witnessed by his emotional family in Lucknow, who watched the live feed of the picture-perfect landing. Recovery boats were immediately dispatched to retrieve the astronauts from the capsule. Following the retrieval, Group Captain Shukla and the crew will enter a seven-day rehabilitation program to acclimatise to Earth's gravity. Sources indicate he may return to India on the 25th, pending confirmation.
