UP Election: BSP embraces dreaded don Mukhtar Ansari in quest for Muslim votes

Gangster Mukhtar Ansari who was earlier with the Samajwadi Party today joined the Bahujan Samajwadi Party (BSP). His family too was inducted into the party. Welcoming Ansari into the party, BSP chief Mayawati said, "My government has always been tough on criminals and maintaining law and order, but at the same time, I ensure that no one is fabricated in false cases. Mukhtar Ansari's  family is one such example. His family has been framed in false case." Mukhtar will contest from his seat Mau, his son Abdullah Ansari from Ghosi and brother from Mohammadabad.
