Another major setback for former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan. After Shireen Mazari, now Fawad Chaudhry, former federal information minister and key aide of Imran Khan, has quit Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf.
Fawad Chaudhry was recently arrested by the Islamabad police and sprinted inside the Islamabad high court before he could be re-arrested.
Fawad Chaudhry's resignation came a day after former minister for human rights Shireen Mazari quit 70-year-old Khan's Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party and condemned the actions of the former prime minister's supporters who attacked and torched sensitive defence installations across Pakistan on May 9.
