Iran's Kharg Island hit by multiple strikes: Reports

In a major escalation of tensions in West Asia, US and Israeli forces have reportedly launched multiple missile strikes on Iran's Kharg Island, according to local media reports. The strikes occurred ahead of the deadline previously indicated by US President Donald Trump. Kharg Island is considered Iran's most critical economic lifeline, accounting for approximately 90% of the country's crude oil exports.  The IDF has indicated that operations are proceeding according to plan to dismantle Iran's command-and-control structures and economic funding lines. Beyond Kharg Island, other potential targets including key bridges like the Persian Gulf Bridge and Lake Urmia Bridge remain at risk. These developments suggest a coordinated effort to dismantle Iran's strategic and logistical assets, potentially disrupting regional trade corridors and urban lifelines.
