US President Donald Trump has congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the BJP’s historic victory in the Bengal assembly elections.
A 19-year-old student from Tamil Nadu was allegedly gang-raped by two men at a private villa in Jakur, North Bengaluru. According to police, the survivor was invited to a party at Rex Villa where the accused allegedly forced her to consume a pink-coloured intoxicating pill, causing her to lose consciousness before assaulting her. The accused have been identified as Dixon Santos, 21, and Nikhil, 35. They allegedly threatened to kill her if she reported the incident. The survivor later informed her brother and subsequently filed a complaint. Bengaluru police have registered an FIR under BNS section 70 clause 1 for gang-rape and arrested both accused. The survivor stated she was not comfortable and repeatedly said no during the assault. Police have conducted a spot investigation and the primary medical report confirms assault, with further investigation ongoing.
