A major security breach occurred at the Delhi Legislative Assembly on Monday after a white Tata Sierra with a Uttar Pradesh registration plate forcibly entered the premises. The incident took place around 2:05 PM when the vehicle rammed through a VIP gate, which is typically reserved for ministers and MLAs. According to reports from the ground, the unidentified driver reached the Speaker's chamber, placed or threw a bouquet of flowers, and managed to flee the scene before security personnel could intervene. Although the assembly was not in session, the lapse has raised serious concerns regarding the response time and the adequacy of the security cordon at the high-profile complex. Senior officials of the Delhi Police have arrived at the spot and launched an investigation. Authorities are currently scanning CCTV footage to identify the vehicle and the individual involved, while also probing the motive behind the unusual act of leaving a bouquet outside the Speaker's room.

9 killed after fire breaks out in Delhi residential building, AC blast suspected
A fire broke out in a residential building in Delhi's Vivek Vihar area during the early hours, resulting in the deaths of nine people. The blaze, which started around 3:00 AM, is suspected to have been caused by an air conditioner blast on the second floor. The fire spread to the upper floors, trapping several residents. Fourteen fire tenders were rushed to the spot to conduct rescue and relief operations. Firefighters faced initial challenges due to a net covering the first floor, but managed to rescue over a dozen people from the building. Some victims were found trapped near the locked terrace gates, while others were discovered on their beds. Cooling and combing operations are currently underway at the site. While the police have not officially reported any injuries, an eyewitness stated that one person was injured. Authorities continue to investigate the incident as the rescue operations conclude.
