Need to increase testing and tracing: PM Modi on Covid fight

PM Narendra Modi, who held a virtual meeting with chief ministers to discuss Covid situation, said India has fought coronavirus bravely but stressed on the need for increase in testing and tracing.

PM Modi asked CMs to work to bring positivity rate below 5 per cent and fatality rate under 1 per cent. “Seeing good recovery rates, many think virus is weak & they'll recover soon, this has led to rampant carelessness... Those working on vaccine are doing it but we need to focus on ensuring that people are alert & transmission is curbed. We've to bring positivity rate under 5%,” PM Modi said.
