Pfizer yet to apply for emergency use approval in India

Sources told India Today that the Drugs Controller General of India has urged Pfizer twice in writing to apply for emergency use authorization for its Covid vaccine so that application is processed well in time but the pharma giant has not applied for the license yet.

The news comes days after it was reported that Pfizer was in the final stages of approval and an agreement between the company and the government would be finalised soon.
