In yet another blow to TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee, senior party leader Firhad Hakim on Friday resigned as the mayor of the Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC).
At the India Today Mumbai Conclave, Sri M, a prominent spiritual leader and educator, shared profound insights on leveraging ancient wisdom to navigate contemporary challenges. Formerly known as Mumtaz Ali Khan, Sri M emphasised the distinction between spirituality and politics, stating, “Spirituality and politics should never be mixed. They are distinct paths.”
He called for a return to the teachings of the Upanishads, advocating for unity in a time of societal division. “We must embrace the good and avoid the destructive, regardless of our backgrounds,” he asserted. Sri M encouraged individuals to carve out time for introspection, highlighting that true happiness arises from within, not from external achievements. “Happiness is an inner state, and excessive fame, wealth, or power can disrupt that peace. It’s all about finding balance within,” he concluded.
