Tamil Nadu Post-Poll Updates: Aadhav Arjuna not happy with Tamil invocation song positioning at oath taking ceremony
After the swearing-in ceremony, Tamil Nadu Minister Aadhav Arjuna said the sequence of songs at the swearing-in ceremony, Vande Mataram, followed by the national anthem and then the Tamil invocation was inappropriate for the state. He said the government had objected to the order and was told it followed a Union government circular.
"We do not agree with the Tamil invocation song being played third. Accordingly, in an unavoidable situation, the Tamil invocation song was played as the third song," he tweeted.
He also said that in future, this new practice will not be followed. Instead, as per the earlier practice, the Tamil invocation song will be played at the beginning of the event and the national anthem at the end.

Tamil Nadu Live: Stalin says state's debt within permissible limits
DMK president MK Stalin on Sunday said Tamil Nadu's debt remained well within the "permissible limits". His remarks came hours after Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay alleged that the previous government had burdened the state with a debt of Rs 10 lakh crore and emptied the treasury.
"We had clearly explained the financial position of the Tamil Nadu government in the February budget itself. Didn't you know that? It was only after that you made so many promises to the people. Don't deceive the people who voted for you and try to divert the issue," he said.
