Come with numbers, prove majority: Tamil Nadu Governor to Vijay

Tamil Nadu Governor has asked TVK chief Vijay to present signatures from one hundred and eighteen MLAs to prove a majority before being invited to take the oath, as per sources. Currently, Vijay has one hundred and twelve signatures, including support from the Congress. The leading party is seeking the backing of the Left parties and other regional allies to cross the magic number. Meanwhile, the DMK leader has officially bowed out of the race, expressing a desire to avoid a constitutional crisis and allowing the new leadership a six-month window for governance. Furthermore, reports clarify that the AIADMK leader has not sought an appointment with the Governor, dispelling rumours of alternative alliances.
