MK Stalin files nomination from Kolathur constituency

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin filed his nomination from Kolathur constituency, a seat he has held for three consecutive elections since 2011. After filing nominations, Stalin staged a show of strength in the constituency he considers his political fortress. This time, the contest intensifies with challenges from AIADMK's P Santakrishnan and TVK's V S Babu. Stalin previously defeated Sadaidurai Swami and JCD Prabhakar in 2016, and Adi Rajaram in 2021. TVK chief Vijay also filed his nomination from his respective constituency on the same day. Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin is set to launch the campaign outreach from Kanchipuram, while DMK MP Kanimozhi will begin campaigning on March 31st. The party's star campaigners will roll out rallies across the state starting April 1st, gearing up for a full-scale electoral push in the southern state.
