NDA to retain Puducherry with 16-20 seats: Axis My India exit poll

The Axis My India exit poll predicts a clear victory for the National Democratic Alliance in the Puducherry assembly elections, projecting 16 to 20 seats out of 30 following a 90 percent voter turnout. The alliance, featuring the Bharatiya Janata Party and N Rangasamy's All India N.R. Congress, holds a 10 percent vote share lead over the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam and Congress alliance, which is expected to secure five to seven seats. The exit poll indicates the AINRC could win 10 to 12 seats, while the BJP is projected to win four to six. The Congress party's poor performance is attributed to seat-sharing disagreements and the denial of a ticket to senior leader Narayanasamy. Meanwhile, actor Vijay's Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam is making a notable debut, projected to win up to four seats with a 17 percent vote share. Additionally, the LJK, featuring the son of casino king Santiago Martin, is expected to secure one to three seats.
