All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi faced heavy criticism in the Dariapur constituency of Ahmedabad during his door-to-door campaigning that was held on Friday. Â
People not only waved black flags to him but also chanted "Owaisi Go Back" slogans to express their strong opposition towards the Hyderabad MP.

Throughout the campaign, people were seen shouting slogans against him while he was accompanied by his supporters on the streets of Ahmedabad.Â

The first phase of Gujarat polling started on December 1 and political parties have increased their efforts to reach a large number of people in Gujarat ahead of the second phase of assembly elections by holding a string of rallies.
A voter turnout of 60.23 per cent was recorded in the first phase of the Gujarat Assembly elections on Thursday.
