Priyanka Gandhi hits out at BJP, SP for 'not doing enough on issues related to women' | Exclusive

Ahead of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly election, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra talked to India Today on women empowerment. Priyanka Gandhi said her 'ladkhi hu, lad sakti hu' campaign is going door-to-door in Uttar Pradesh now. She also hit out at the BJP and Samajwadi Party, saying they are not doing enough on issues related to women. "From the time I raised the issue, Modi ji conducted one women's sammelan. The Samajwadi Party is also working on it. BJP only believes in giving freebies," she said.
Priyanka Gandhi alleged that the BJP has only launched only two flagship programs for women -- only access to toilets and LPG gas connection. "Rapes are happening everyday in UP. The administration is not taking action against them. Women should have good participation in politics. We will bring change," she said.
