Yogi Adityanath's '80% vs 20%' remark: No space for real issues in UP polls?

Days after Yogi Adityanath said it will be a "80 per cent versus 20 per cent" election in Uttar Pradesh and the BJP will retain power in the state, several Opposition leaders attacked the CM over his comments. They alleged that it was an attempt at polarisation by the "80-20" reference, which they said was aimed at pointing to the ratio of Hindus to Muslims in Uttar Pradesh.

So, should EC take note of 80-20 politics? Are all parties fighting for the Hindu vote? No space for real issues in UP polls?

TVK leader C Joseph Vijay on Sunday took oath as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu amid a sea of supporters, his friends and family, and several political leaders.
