Anurag Dobhal recalls 'humiliating' hospital stay, alleges new complaint by family

YouTuber Anurag Dobhal has alleged that his family is “conspiring” against him again, months after he publicly accused them of mentally harassing him over his interfaith marriage to wife Ritika. The influencer, who is still recovering from injuries sustained in a car crash earlier this year, claimed that fresh complaints had now been filed against him by his own family.

Speaking on Wednesday, Dobhal said he had tried to move on from the past and begin a new chapter in life, especially after becoming a father. However, he alleged that during a recent visit to Dehradun for work, he received a call from a police station that left him shocked. According to Dobhal, he learnt that his father had filed a complaint against him on the night of his March 8 car crash and that another detailed complaint had now allegedly been submitted.

What did Anurag Dobhal allege against his family?

Dobhal claimed that the latest complaint against him runs into nearly 50 to 60 pages. He alleged that false accusations had been levelled against him and said he was hurt by what he described as attempts to “change the entire point of view” around the matter.

The YouTuber said he had always wanted love and support from his parents but felt they were instead seeking revenge. He also claimed he had earlier stayed silent about family tensions because he feared public judgement.

Dobhal further alleged that his parents accused him of threatening them into signing property papers and claimed that his mother felt unsafe around his friends who visited the house. He denied all allegations and said he had proof to support his claims.

What did he say about his hospital experience?

Recalling the aftermath of his accident, Dobhal described his hospital stay as the “most humiliating” phase of his life. He said he remained bedridden for nearly a month and had to depend on diapers during recovery.

According to him, only he knew how difficult that period had been. He called it the worst phase he had ever gone through and said the emotional toll stayed with him long after leaving hospital.

What led to the family dispute?

In March, Dobhal uploaded what he described as his final YouTube vlog, alleging mental harassment by his family over his marriage to Ritika. He claimed his parents refused to accept the interfaith marriage and did not allow her into their home.

Later that month, Dobhal allegedly crashed his car while going live on Instagram during what he called his “final ride”. He survived the accident and is now focused on rebuilding his life with his wife and newborn son.
