RJ Mahvash confirms India's Got Latent Season 2 appearance after Samay's invite
RJ Mahvash has confirmed accepting Samay Raina's invitation to appear on India's Got Latent Season 2. She also opened up about standing by fellow creators amid controversies.
Actor and former radio jockey RJ Mahvash has confirmed that she will be part of India’s Got Latent Season 2 after comedian Samay Raina personally invited her to attend the next edition of his comedy talent show. Mahvash revealed the development during an interview with Pinkvilla while promoting her upcoming web series Satrangi: Badle Ka Khel.
Speaking about the invitation, Mahvash said, “Samay asked me if I would attend the next season of his comedy talent show. And I told him I would definitely come for the show.”
What did RJ Mahvash say about Samay Raina?
Apart from confirming her appearance on Season 2 of the show, Mahvash also opened up about her friendship with Samay and fellow content creators including Ranveer Allahbadia, who invited controversy after an objectionable comment he made during the first season of India's Got Latent.
Addressing controversies surrounding some creators, Mahvash said she continued to support them despite public criticism. She clarified that she did not personally know Samay during his difficult phase that followed the Ranveer episode, and had only observed the controversy from the outside.
“I was watching it from third spectacle. I had spoken to Ranveer,” she said during the interview.
Why does Mahvash continue to support fellow creators?
Mahvash recalled that several digital creators had shown support during the trailer launch of her production’s first film, Section 108, starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Regina Cassandra.
She said that despite not knowing them personally at the time, creators such as Ranveer and Ashish Chanchlani attended the event, which she described as genuine support.
Mahvash added that while mistakes should be acknowledged, people should not face endless criticism for them. She maintained that the creators she knows personally have always behaved respectfully.
What is RJ Mahvash working on next?
Mahvash will next be seen in Satrangi: Badle Ka Khel alongside Anshuman Pushkar and Kumud Mishra. The series is scheduled to premiere on ZEE5 on May 22, 2026.
She is also currently working on filmmaker Remo D'Souza’s romantic comedy Tedhi Hain Par Meri Hain.
