Euro 2016: France decimate Germany 2-0, to play Portugal in ultimate clash

Antoine Griezmanns brace helped hosts France beat Germany 2-0 and progress to the final of the Euro 2016 tournament. Paul Pogba, who assisted Griezmann for the second goal, wraps himself around the national flag after the end of the game.

Antoine Griezmann broke the deadlock in the dying minutes of the first half from a penalty spot. France were awarded the spot kick after Bastian Schweinsteigers hand came in contact with the ball inside the box.

Griezmann doubled the lead in the 73th minute after tapping the ball past Manuel Neuer from a brilliant cross from Paul Pogba.

French goalkeeper Hugo Lloris was rock solid in front of the goal denying Germany a change to get back in the game. Germanys attempts at goal proved futile as Lloris made sure France held their nerve in the late moments of the game.

A victorious French team acknowledged the crowd support at the Stade Velodrome in Marseille. France take on Portugal in Paris on Sunday in the ultimate clash.
