Clashes erupt in Chhattisgarh's Gariaband district, Section 144 imposed

In this Special Report, India Today’s Sumi Rajappan reports from Dudhkaiya village in Chhattisgarh's Gariaband district, where a minor dispute escalated into a major communal riot. According to initial information, the clash started when some criminal elements from one community allegedly attacked members of the other community, leaving several people dead.

The violence led to widespread arson, with 8-10 houses and multiple vehicles set ablaze. Section 144 has been imposed as heavy police forces, including Raipur IG Amresh Mishra, monitor the situation.
