Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has resigned on Friday over Jan Lokpal Bill. He has sent his resignation to LG Najeeb Jung.

Earlier, speaking in the Delhi Assembly, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday said, "We have not come here to save the government but the country. I will sacrifice the CM's chair a thousand times if I have to for this task. We have to take this fight to Parliament. Perhaps it is our last session."Kejriwal said the Delhi government's step of lodging an FIR against Mukesh Ambani had united the Congress and BJP who are both backed the RIL chief.

"I was told in the past few days that the House is like the temple. But we do not respect this temple. We break mikes, tear papers here."

"People of Delhi have seen what has been happening in the Assembly House," the CM said.

"I went to my house last night and read the Constitution to see if it allows members to break mikes if Constitution is broken. It does not say anything on the matter," Kejriwal told the House.BJP, Congress oppose introduction of Jan Lokpal Bill

"We need to introspect about the way we conduct ourselves both inside the House and outside," he said.

The Delhi CM said it has been alleged that the government needs to take permission from the Central government to introduce the Jan Lokpal Bill. "The Constitution does not say this," he said.

"I am ready to give away my life for the sake of Constitution, but I will not follow unconstitutional diktats of Central government," Kejriwal said.
