India Today Woman Summit 2018: Rajasthan CM Vasundhara Raje talks about royalty and politics

Delivering the keynote address during the summit, Raje lauded the women achievers. "Amitabh Bachhan once said because you're a woman, people will tell you what to do, what to wear, where to go. Don't listen to them. These women achievers did exactly that," Raje said.

Vasundhara Raje talked about the times when she accompanied her mother to political rallies and at times was asked to address an audience. Raje said that she was never taught how to do it, but eventually learned and gained confidence.

Touching upon the topic of upcoming elections in the state, Raje said that she doesn't believe in any opinion polls and the results will show in December.

Reiterating that any woman can be a politician, Raje said, "When girls go to college, interact with people, participate in the public discourse, they gain confidence. Politics is like any other career, and it is as easy and as difficult as it is pursue any other career."
