2 detained in connection with drone attack at Jammu air base

After two explosions rocked the high security technical area of the Air-Force station in Jammu, two suspects have been detained from Satwari area in connection with the twin blast that took place on Sunday. Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria, who is in Bangladesh on an official invitation, is constantly monitoring the situation.
As per an initial assessment report done by the security establishment, low-flying drones were used to drop the two improvised explosive devices (IED). The likely targets were helicopters parked there. No equipment was damaged, according to the Indian Air Force.

PM Modi also touched Sarkar's feet and presented a shawl to him as a mark of respect. In 1952, Sarkar was arrested in Kashmir while he was accompanying Dr Syama Prasad Mookerjee as the latter was marching to hoist the tricolour there. BJP IT cell head Amit Malviya described the elderly party leader as "one of the earliest grassroots figures associated with the nationalist movement in post-Independence India."
