Army Insulted for Polls? KTR Slams CM Reddy's 'Praise for Pakistan' Remark

A war of words has erupted in Telangana between BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao and Chief Minister Revanth Reddy over the latter's remarks on the Indian Army during a Jubilee Hills by-poll rally. KTR condemned the comments, alleging they belittled the armed forces for political gain. 'To insult the Indian Army merely to score political points in an election rally is a new low, even by Revanth Reddy's standards,' KTR stated, demanding an unconditional public apology. The controversy stems from a campaign speech where Chief Minister Reddy reportedly said, ‘When Pakistan kicked us, we failed to counter’, a comment that has drawn sharp criticism from opposition parties for allegedly undermining the military's integrity. The political battle intensifies as the BRS and BJP accuse the Chief Minister of disrespecting soldiers' sacrifices ahead of the crucial by-election.
