BJP MP accuses Mahua Moitra of trying to influence 'whistleblower' lawyer

BJP MP Nishikant Dubey accused Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra of "trying to influence" Supreme Court lawyer Jai Anant Dehadrai, whom he referred to as a "whistleblower". This came after Moitra's lawyer withdrew from the defamation case filed by her over allegations that she took bribes to ask questions in parliament. 

Dehadrai told the Delhi High Court that senior advocate Gopal Sankaranarayanan, appearing for the Trinamool leader, approached him to drop the CBI complaint against her.

The BJP MP said Moitra's actions amounted to "cheating" and demanded action against her from the Lok Sabha Speaker.
