Bengal post-poll violence: DGP confirms two deaths, urges people to maintain calm
The Director General of Police in West Bengal has confirmed two deaths related to post-election violence since the election results were announced.
Hitting out at Modi government for its handling of terrorism in Kashmir, P Chidambaram said accession issue of Kashmir is a long-pending dispute.
Chidambaram also said that "infiltration and militancy, supported by Pakistan, have caused turmoil" in Jammu and Kashmir. But, then he said, "It would be wrong to think that the issue is infiltration and militancy."
The former union minister also demanded less army troops in Kashmir valley.

The Bharatiya Janata Party is set to form its first government in West Bengal, with the swearing-in ceremony scheduled for the ninth of May at the Brigade Parade Ground.
