China reluctant to completely move back from Pangong: Sources

China is reluctant to completely move back from Pangong Tso fearing advantage to India, govt sources said.

Meanwhile, the Indian Army said that both sides are engaged in talks at military and diplomatic levels. The Army also added that a senior commander from PLA and the Indian army held a meeting in Chushul to discuss full disengagement and review the progress made so far. It also said that both sides are committed to the objective complete disengagements and the process required verifications.

As Indian and Chinese armies make efforts to disengage and ease tensions at the Line of Actual Control in Eastern Ladakh, Pangong Lake and Hot Springs areas continue to be a challenge.

Despite the initial disengagement ensuring troops are not in an eyeball-to-eyeball confrontation, the large build up by both sides continues in depth areas remain a concern, sources said.
