Country's vehicle scrapping policy a key part of India's green growth strategy: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday addressed the first post-budget webinar on green growth and said that the Union Budget 2023-24 will establish India as a leading player in the global green energy market. “This budget will establish India as a leading player in the global green energy market. I invite all the stakeholders associated with the energy world to invest in India,” said PM Modi at the first post-budget webinar on green growth on Thursday. PM Modi, at the webinar, said that the country’s vehicle scrapping policy is a key part of India's green growth strategy. The prime minister added that the government will scrap over 3 lakh vehicles that are older than 15 years and that Rs 3,000 crore provision is there in the Budget for vehicle scrapping.
