Cyclone Burevi: Heavy rain in Tamil Nadu, Kerala announces public holiday in 5 districts

Cyclone Burevi has weakened into a deep depression and will cross the Tamil Nadu coast on the morning of December 4, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said. Heavy rainfall has been reported in Tamil Nadu coast ahead of Cyclone Burevi landfall.

The Kerala government on Thursday declared a holiday in five districts including Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha and Idukki for Friday, December 4, in view of Cyclone Burevi which is expected to bring heavy rain in the state.
