Delhi Dangal: Why Aam Aadmi Party lost big in battle for Rajouri Garden

Aam Aadmi Party member and Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia today conceded his party's defeat in bypoll for Rajouri Garden Assembly constituency. The AAP was relegated to the third spot as the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Congress bagged the first two positions respectively.

BJP's Manjinder Singh Sirsa won the Delhi Assembly byelection from the Rajouri Garden constituency. He defeated his nearest rival Meenakshi Chandela of the Congress by a margin of nearly 14,000 votes, pushing the ruling AAP's candidate to a distant third. Chandela failed to garner even one-sixth of the total votes losing her deposit.

Sisodia said AAP will work hard to win back people support and expressed confidence of winning the upcoming MCD polls.
