Delhi Blast: DNA Confirms Red Fort Bomber ; NIA Takes Over Delhi Car Blast Probe

DNA evidence has now confirmed the identity of the bomber as wanted terrorist Dr. Umar Nabi, after samples from his mother were matched with remains from the site. The probe has been handed over to the National Investigation Agency (NIA). According to a police official, 'We have taken the DNA sample in order to match with the parts found at the scene of the blast.' This scientific confirmation is a significant breakthrough for investigating agencies, solidifying the case against the perpetrator who was driving the I-20 car used in the attack and was previously captured on CCTV footage.

BJP IT cell head Amit Malviya described the elderly party leader as "one of the earliest grassroots figures associated with the nationalist movement in post-Independence India."
