Government bans 25 OTT platforms over obscene content

The government has initiated a significant crackdown on digital content, banning 25 OTT platforms for allegedly streaming obscene and sexually explicit material, often described as soft pornography. Platforms such as Ullu, Alt, and Desi Flix are among those ordered to be blocked by the IT Ministry following public complaints. The action was taken due to concerns that these platforms were distributing content disguised as erotic web series without proper moderation, making it potentially accessible to minors.
