Government scared of ex-Army chief's memoir: Rahul Gandhi after Parliament clash

Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi slammed PM Modi and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh for not letting him speak on ex-Army chief MM Naravane's memoir in Lok Sabha on Monday during the Motion of Thanks to the president's address.  

Speaking to reporters at the Parliament premises, Gandhi alleged that the government is 'scared' of the perspectives shared by the former Chief of Army Staff in his memoir. He stated, 'This is what the Army Chief has written in a book. The book is not being allowed to be published. It is languishing.' Gandhi accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh of letting down the armed forces, claiming the Prime Minister has chosen to 'run away' from crucial decisions. He further questioned the government's stance on Chinese incursions, suggesting that the political leadership failed to provide direction when China was 'standing in front of us.' The programme examines these serious allegations and the controversy surrounding the Army Chief's unpublished writings.
