Arguing against the no-confidence motion, Union minister and BJP leader Kiren Rijiju listed the Olympic games of the past and said India did not manage to win any medals in those games and it was only in 2020 that the country won seven medals for the first time after Prime Minister Narendra Modi's "focused attention" on the players.
He further said, "When I used to play, I could have won more medals for India if Narendra Modi was the PM."
He also said the no-confidence motion has been brought at a very wrong time and in a wrong manner. The Congress party will regret it later.
