JD(S) calls for emergency meet amid 'obscene videos' accusation against Prajwal Revanna

Days after purported 'obscene videos' of Janata Dal (Secular) (JDS) leader, Prajwal Revanna, emerged in the Hassan district in Karnataka, the JD(S) leader on Sunday fled to Germany's Frankfurt. Meanwhile, the party called for an emergency meeting at 11 am on Sunday. 

The videos had gone viral on social media just two days before the first phase of the Lok Sabha elections in Karnataka on April 26. Responding to the matter, the Chief Minister's Office on Saturday announced that the government has decided to form a special team to probe the matter.

Video: Vijay takes oath as Tamil Nadu CM amid loud cheers and chants

TVK leader C Joseph Vijay on Sunday took oath as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu amid a sea of supporters, his friends and family, and several political leaders. Eight other TVK leaders were sworn in besides him, as ministers in the new government. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi also attended the ceremony. The TVK managed to secure the Governor's nod to form the government after the Congress, the CPI, the CPI(M), the VCK, and IUML extended their support to the Vijay-led party for a colaition government.
